QSI DONATES TO HOLA LAKEWAY SANKOFA CENTER
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – June 3, 2024 – QSI, member of the Vincit Group, presented the HOLA Lakeway Sankofa Center with a $20,000 non-restricted donation on Friday, May 31, 2024. QSI proudly supports the HOLA Lakeway mission, “To facilitate the integration of immigrant families into the fabric of the Lakeway community through educational initiatives and advocacy.”
The HOLA Lakeway Sankofa Center in Morristown, Tennessee celebrated its 10-year anniversary on May 31, 2024. The celebration provided an opportunity for HOLA to recognize its accomplishments, volunteers, team members, and community family.
HOLA has served the refugee and immigrant communities in Hamblen, Jefferson, and Grainger counties of Tennessee since 2014. HOLA provides educational and workforce development programs like HISET/ GED preparation, ESL, and Spanish instruction. In addition, HOLA supports community efforts with young adult and children’s programming through school transition services, parent-teacher translation services, monthly markets, and La Tiendita (food pantry).
The presentation was made by Gene Boulware, Vincit Group Corporate and Community Relations Director, Alejandro Mendez, QSI Site Manager, Andrew Knerr, QSI Division Vice President, Sandra Rubio, QSI Area Manager, Cody Long, Vincit Group Communications Coordinator, and Liznell Santiago, QSI Assistant Area Manager of the Inspired Performance Team.
“Today we honor the families, volunteers, partners, parents, and teachers of HOLA for making the journey of so many families in the region better. We are inspired by the HOLA mission and are proud to support the ongoing educational and advocacy work of HOLA,” said Boulware.
