The Vincit Group Privacy Policy

This The Vincit Group Corporate Privacy Policy (this “Privacy Policy”) explains how information may be collected and how such information may be used. This Privacy Policy applies to information which may be collected in connection with any business interactions between yourself and The Vincit Group and any of its member companies including your use of this website (the “Site”) and / or any of the products or services provided by The Vincit Group and any or all of its member companies (the “Products”). 

 

Some examples of our Products include: 

  • Cloud-based Software as a Service (the “SaaS”) products used to analyze data and provide information management 
  • Software installed to analyze data and provide information management 
  • Information System hardware (e.g., servers, storage, processors) used in conjunction with our Products. 

In this Privacy Policy the terms Vincit,we”, “us”, and “our” refers to The Vincit Group and any or all of its member companies, individually or collectively. 

2. The Vincit Group is Headquartered in the U.S. 

You acknowledge and consent that any information provided or collected may be used, processed, and transferred within the United States and to other countries or territories not necessarily offering the same level of data protection as your country.  

3. What’s Not Covered by This Privacy Policy? 

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any data or information received by us or created or maintained for or by us, other than the personal information of business contacts belonging to our customers and partners. 

4. Applicability of Other Vincit Privacy Policies 

The websites of any of Vincit’s affiliates and some of its Products may have separate privacy policies with differing terms and conditions applying to their use.  

5. Information We Collect 

We collect various types of information, including information you provide us and information we get from your use of our Site or Products. For instance, in order to access certain portions of the Site, order Products, or even use some Products you may be required to register with us or otherwise provide some additional data such as your name, institution/company, address, phone number, email, username, etc.. 

Information we collect about your use of our Site or Products may, for example, include:

  • The functions, products, or services you use on the Site or Products and purchasing history.

 8. Google AdWords Remarketing 

We use Google AdWords Remarketing to advertise across the Internet. AdWords Remarketing will display relevant ads tailored to you based on what parts of our sites you have viewed by placing a cookie on your machine. This cookie does not identify you.  

If you do not wish to participate in our Google AdWords Remarketing, you can opt out by visiting Google’s Ads Preferences Manager. 

You can also opt out of any third-party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting www.networkadvertising.org/choices. 

9. Sharing of Personal Information 

We do not provide, sell, or lease your personal information to any third parties without your express consent, except for the following scenarios under which we may release such information and to which you hereby acknowledge and agree:

12. Opt Out 

Unless you “opt out”, we may contact you regarding other products and services that may be of interest to you. You can exercise your right to prevent such contact. Note that you may not opt-out of account management communications (e.g., billing, status emails, support issues).

We will release your personal information if you direct us to do so (such as through a function or feature within the Site, the Product, or other action or communication you make) or as permitted by this Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use, or applicable contract between us and you or your organization. We may also release collected information if we reasonably believe we are required to do so by law, regulation, court action, to enforce or apply the Terms of Use or applicable contract between us and you or your organization, to prevent abuse of the Site or our Products, or if necessary to protect and defend the rights or property of Vincit, its affiliates and subsidiaries, employees, customers, or others. We also may be required to disclose your personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. 

14. Links, Third Party Applications and Software 

The Site and the Products may contain links to other sites or may give you access to applications, software, or products provided by third parties (the Third Party Sites and Products”). You acknowledge that those Third-Party Sites and Products may have different terms of use and privacy policies. You are responsible to review those terms of use and privacy policies prior to using them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any Third-Party Sites and Products. We are also not responsible for the terms of use you may be required to agree to in order to use such Third-Party Sites and Products. 

15. Retention of Collected Information 

We may retain collected information, even after you remove it from the Site or Products, in order for us to comply with law, to enforce any rights in connection with the Site, our Products, or other of our products and services, to use as provided in the this Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use, or applicable contract between us and you or your organization, and to resolve disputes. Collected information may persist indefinitely.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time without notice. When we make changes, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to post the changed Privacy Policy on the site and such changes will become effective immediately. Your continued access to or use of the Site or Product represents your acceptance of such changed privacy policy.
