CHATTANOOGA, TN – Zee Company, a member of the Vincit Group, is pleased to announce the patent approval for U.S. Patent No. 11,350,640.  The patent addresses the methods for increasing the antimicrobial efficacy in a poultry processing tank, such as chiller and dip tanks, by introducing a premixed solution of PAA at a desired concentration and pH level into the poultry processing tank for poultry processing.

Dr. James Faller, Director of Technical Services for Zee Company, states that “this patent introduces an improved method of introducing antimicrobials at desired pH levels, especially PAA at a pH between 7 and 10, into chillers and dip tanks in poultry processing plants.  This patented method provides consistent distribution of antimicrobial chemistry throughout the tank and helps maintain the concentration and desired pH to minimize spikes or ‘dead zones’.”

The Zee Company filed a patent application for this pioneering antimicrobial intervention on August 12, 2016.  The United States Patent and Trademarks Office (USPTO) granted a patent on Zee Company’s proprietary technologies on June 7, 2022.
